MUSIC, Traditional Irish and Classical Music

at Hopkins Festival

Hopkins interest in music is reflected in the range of music at the Hopkins Festival since 1987. Artists who have contributed include: Frankie Gavin; Hans Palsson (Sweden) ; Micheal O'Rourke; Celine Byrne; Malachy Bourke; Tatanya Pavlova (Russia); Willard Rooseveldt (USA); Anthony Byrne (Irl); Josep Magdic (Croatia)

Gerard Manley Hopkins had a keen interest in Music so music features in the Festival.Among performers were Swedish pianist, Hans Pålson: Irish pianists Miceal O'Rourke and treaditional Irish musicians Frankie Gavin,Malachy Bourke,Camross Players and more.

Each year, The Gerard Manly Hopkins Festival hosts a range of musical Events. Among performers whom we were proud to present to our visitors were Swedish pianist, Hans Pålson: Irish pianists Miceal O'Rourke and more. Award winning Irish Soprano gave one of her finest Concerts at the Gerard Manley Hopkins Festival
